I had Visio 2007 running just fine until I uninstalled it to test out Visio 2013. I'm reluctant to uninstall Office for the Mac, since I use it daily. reset IE settings, rebooted Windows and attempted to install Visio - same error.ran sfc /scannow, rebooted Windows and attempted to install Visio - same error.edited the registry, removed all 6 references to key = F01FEC (per can-not-install-other-office-rtm-product ), rebooted Windows and attempted to install Visio - same error.
MS Office is installed on the Mac side, no other Office products on Windows.įollowing get-started-quickly-with-the-visio-2013-trial/ (had to remove links to post) I certainly hope that Office and Visio 2013 are not incompatible, Visio 2007 worked fine.
This is Windows 7 running on Parallels virtual environment on a Mac Book Pro. It's on the Mac side so I'm not sure how it's conflicting with Windows 7 and Visio running in Parallels' virtual environment. I've spent several hours attempting to fix this, still getting the same Setup Error.
